1. Detox from the inside out. Healthy skin starts with a healthy body and there’s no better way to gently rebalance your entire internal landscape than with a cup of hot lemon water every morning.
What should your daily intake actually be? The easiest way to get in the hydration ballpark is to divide your weight in half and drink that number in ounces – so if you weigh 140 lbs, your daily intake should be 70 ounces of water.
First thing in the morning, heat a quart of water in a mason jar, squeeze in half a lemon and sip it til it’s gone. This accomplishes two things – helps reduce acidity in the body and frontloads your hydration for the day.
2. Hydrate with food. Dehydration can be a challenge all summer long, even when you are a dedicated water guzzler. Fresh veggies and salads are an easy way to boost overall hydration and (bonus!) help give your skin a glow.
